March 31, 1981 – October 21, 2025
Raquel Yvonne Jakubecy, age 44, of Lancaster, California, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 31, 1981, in Tarzana, California, Raquel lived a life full of laughter, spirit, and generosity. Her unforgettable smile and outgoing personality could light up any room, and she was always the first to lend a helping hand.
Raquel dedicated 20 years of her life to US Air Conditioning Distributors, where she served as a manager and was deeply committed to her team and the customers she supported. Problem-solving came naturally to her, and she took pride in knowing her work made a difference.
She found joy in softball, building Legos, and spending time outdoors—especially during trips to the Kern River, a place that brought her peace and happiness. She was also a collector of Pepsi and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia—little pieces of nostalgia that always made her smile.
Her greatest joy was her children.
Raquel was proud beyond words of Mikayla’s college graduation and pursuit of a law career, and Nathaniel’s outstanding academics and passion for football.
Raquel is survived by her spouse, Jeff Grandel Jr.; her children, Mikayla Jakubecy Gibson and Nathaniel Grandel; and her sister, Sharon Jakubecy. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marla Hougard, and her father, William “Billy Jack” Jakubecy Jr.
Raquel will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her humor, her loyalty, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her memory will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched.
Forever in our heart
