

As a little girl Renee' received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and learned very young how to serve Him daily. In the many years of her walking with the Lord. Renee's gifts and talents have served well to the body of Christ. Serving in the Children's Ministry, Missionettes, Cycling Ministry and Dance Ministry. Renee' also taught in the classroom,was a part of outreach programs and helped planned events for the church. Renee' was most grateful for her church family at The Highlands Christian Fellowship.
From the beginning Renee' showed great athletic ability. She played sports that included volleyball,basketball,track and eventually began a career in softball as a member of the Hollywood Starlets. She also coached her children in basketball and softball and also taught gymnastics and aerobics. Renee' received her Associates Degree at Antelope Valley College and then transferred to California State University Northridge where she studied Physical Education and Anatomy & Physiology. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling and the outdoors and filled her years with adventures and new experiences.
Renee' met a baseball player by the name of Victor Hithe during her softball career and for her it was "love at first sight." Knowing this was a union ordained by God,they married on February 8, 1992,and soon added to this union three beautiful daughters: Alexis, Alicia and Asia.
Family has always been valuable to Renee'. She has always expressed how much of a blessing it was to be a part of such of wonderful network of family and friends. Renee' is one of nine siblings: Rita Dotson, Charles Watkins Jr., Linda Martin, Arnetta Dandrige, Katie Young, Lord Watkins, Princella Jones, and James Watkins.
Renee' touched all who knew her, in the name of Jesus. Whether it was through kind or wise words, good deeds and service, prayers or companionship, Renee' earnestly followed God's command to love His people. Her faith was one-of-a-kind even during her four year battle with cancer. She was a beacon of strength, hope and inspiration to others. Renee' went home to be with the Lord while bathed in God's mercy and was surrounded by the love and respect of countless friends and family. she is preceded in death by those who have gone before her: Mother Hattie B. Watkins, grandparents Katie Kidwell and Johnnie Smith, and various aunts,uncles,niece,and cousins.
Her legacy of love for life,her love for people, and her love for God lives on in all who knew her.
