How do I say goodbye to you, Aunt Sandy? Growing up you were my first idol. I was convinced that you were the coolest person EVER and I felt so lucky that you were MY AUNT!! You were my confidante and gave such wonderful advice. You had such a wonderful sense of humor and one of my favorite things about you is the “Sandy Smile”, the one that lit up a room and shot a sense of happiness right into my soul. My warmest childhood memories are filled with endless sleepovers with Stephanie and Debbie at your house, the family gatherings for holidays or simply to spend hours laughing and playing games, listening to grandpa’s tall tales, and having you and mom share stories about growing up. Who could forget the beautiful and delicious meals that you, mom and grandma would create? You were a fierce advocate for Stephanie and inspired me to devote my life’s work to doing the same. You were always so proud of Stephanie, Debbie, and your beautiful grandkids, and I loved hearing you brag about them. I know how much you loved Bob and you always spoke so highly of him, particularly in recent years when you shared how wonderful he was with caring for you and how much you appreciated him. We have lost a wonderful (aunt, childhood idol, confidante, friend, grandmother, mother, and wife/life partner) and you will always be missed and thought of with the greatest joy.

Bob, Debbie and family - Sandy and I have been friends since her first day at AAA.  She and I have shared fun times and very sad times - and our friendship grew over the years.  We used to go shopping together for Xmas every year for family gifts usually followed by dinner.  In our more recent years, we shopped for the homeless buying blankets, socks, toiletries and such. The next year we shopped for toys for the kids.  Each year we shopped for what was needed, even food and toys for tots!  We always dropped off immediately so no one knew-it was our yearly tradition.  Such a big and loving heart for all, especially her grandkids-Leanna, Gabriel, and Roman-her love for you is beyond measure.  Debbie, she is so proud of the woman you are.   Now she is with Stephanie and she smiles once again. Bob you have always been her one and only.   Rest in peace my very special friend.  Love, love, love……

My deepest sympathy to Bob and the family she cherished.  Sandy was a loving, intelligent woman that had a wonderful sense of humor.  I'm so sad for those left behind, but so happy she is free from her bodily pain and suffering. Rest in peace dear Sandy. 🙏
