Sarah Elizabeth Topping

Born to Empress Fielding Trask and Eva Rebecca (Hogarth) Trask in Baldwin Park California on February 5, 1924 deceased February 24, 2013 at the age of 89. Sarah moved from Baldwin Park at the age of 6 years old to Clovis California where her Father farmed. At age 15 her family moved to Bellflower California where Sarah worked for her father at the Bellfower Cafe. Sarah learned at a very young age how important it was to work, respect and help your family which carried her all through her life. Sarah worked at Douglas during WWII as a spot welder for the war effort. She met Milo Lloyd Topping in 1940 soon after Milo enlisted in the Army and was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Sarah and Milo wrote to each other every day over the next 4 years professing there love and commitment to each other. On June 1, 1945 Sarah and Milo were married in Bellflower California. They had 4 children, Robert Lloyd Topping (deceased October 8, 1960 age 13) Lawrence Allen Topping of Palmdale, California, Lana S. Susen of San Antonio, Texas and William Lloyd Topping of Lancaster, California. Sarah had an amazing strong supporting nature, she always knew how to comfort and heal a hurting heart and anyone who ever talked to her would always come away with a refreshed spirit.

Sarah graduated from Antelope Valley College with an associates degree and sold real estate in the Antelope Valley in the 70's.

Sarah is survived by her children Lawrence A Topping, wife Virginia Topping Lana S Susen, husband Mark W Susen and William L Topping, wife Gabby Topping 7 Grandchildren Stephanie Rogers, Lawrence A Topping Jr. Lisa Montemayor, David J Montemayor, Taylor L Montemayor, Megan Sarah Montemayor and Nicholas Allen Montemayor, 6 Great Grandchildren, and sister Mary M Johnson of VanCouver, WA numerous neices and nephews.
