

Arrangements under the direction of Joshua Memorial PaEarly on the morning of June 2, 2014 the doors of heaven opened up for a very special lady. Virginia Eleanor Nesbitt, age 82 of Lancaster, passed peacefully surrounded by family. She was born in Middlesex, New Jersey on May 24, 1932. She is now in heaven with her late husband of 36 years, Charles Fredrick Nesbitt, her son, Fred Nesbitt, and her daughter, Susan Cordova.
Virginia touched many lives during her time on earth. She was a woman of God and enjoyed spending time with her friends in Hands Extended through the First Assembly of God in Lancaster. She enjoyed time camping and fishing. Virginia was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Virginia, who was known as grandma to more than just her biological grandchildren, had a very kind and giving heart; however, she was fast to put you in your place if you got out of line.
Virginia will be greatly missed by her four surviving sons, Daniel Nesbitt, Bill Nesbitt (Susan), John Nesbitt, and David Nesbitt (Angela); her two daughters, Mary Reed (Bob), and Gina McCain (Lonnie); twenty-five grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Joshua Memorial Cemetery on June 11th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be June 12th at 1pm at Joshua Memorial Cemetery, burial to follow.
