Aaifou-Potoa`e Teo` Sua` was born June 11, 1927. Her parents were Malala and Mulioaigan Te'o. Aaifou-Potoa`e was raised in Vailoatai, American Samoa. She was raised with twelve siblings. She had eight older brothers, Niu, Tamasaunoa, Vili, Saevi'i, Moloka'i, Poufa, Valoaga, Itula, and four older sisters, Tualoina, Fuipu'a, Miriama and Meleane.
On May 2, 1947 Aaifou-Potoa`e exchanged wedding vows with Sapini Mafoa Su'a at the Congregational Christian Church (LMS) of Fegatogo, American Samoa. Aaifou-Potoa`e was blessed with fifteen children, eight sons and seven daughters. They were also blessed with forty-five grandchildren, Mafoa, Arona, Ana, Fa' asau, Tualoina, Merita, Moira, Elisa, Lilly, Baby, Ane, Pitolua, Eseta, Beauty, Marilynn, Johnny, BJ, Akena, Sina, Vaitulu, Potoa'e, Fetu, Lisa, Mathew, Theresa, Mafoa S, Mavis, Maryanne, Jerri, Crystal O, Tala, Corina, Peni, Shana, Diego, Oki, Elee, Esau, Crystal M, Donald, Saprina, Malala, Tanya, Zyqqy, Dennley and Ricco.
Aaifou-Potoa`e passed away on May 17, 2012 at home in Las Vegas, Nevada of old age and natural causes. Services were held at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated at Palm Crematory.
