Adell Geter

Adell Geter, 77, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on March 7, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Adell Geter was born in Marshall, Texas to Willie Thomas Geter and Hattie Mae Geter on March 15, 1945. He went to grade school in Marshall, Texas. As a young man, he was an amateur boxer, who only had five bouts, with three technical knock outs. He also worked in a foundry pouring iron and as a welder, but most of his career (30 years) as a carpenter, building residential housing in California, Hawaii and casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked on Caesars Palace Casino renovations, Paris Hotel Parking Garage and many other locations. After retiring from being a carpenter, he went to trucking school, obtained his GED and became a commercial truck driver. Which he really enjoyed. In his free time, he loved to fish and watch professional football and basketball. Adell Geter is preceded in death by his father, Willie Thomas Geter, mom Hattie Mae Geter, siblings: Leon Jeter, Johnnie Ray Jeter, Travis Wayne Jeter, Thomas Geter and Dennis Geter. Adell Geter is survived by his son, Brian Anthony Geter, his daughters, Jami Adell Geter and Tracy Adell Geter and his granddaughter, KaTasha Whitney-Adell Geter, his siblings: Willie Mae Burson, Nadine Burson, Velma Gilbert, Espinosa Jeter, Kevin Jeter, Keith Jeter and all his cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday March 26, 2023, at Palms Mortuary - Northwest with Reverend Trint officiating.
