On October 29, 1961 in Newllton, Louisiana, God sent us a darling son, Adrian LeVelle Riggs. At six months of age, his parents moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where Adrian grew up. During a summer vacation with his Grandmother in Louisiana in 1974, he accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. T.J. King. Adrian was educated in the Clark County School District, graduating from White Pine County Schools in Northern Nevada. Following High School, he worked in the construction industry as an Insulator Apprentice with his dad until he moved to Atlanta, GA. For nearly twenty years, he worked for Home Depot as a Forklift Operator. His most recent employment was that of a Teamster Driver in the Movie Industry, having worked on shows with Tyler Perry and others. Adrian was a vibrant, loving, caring son, father, brother, and friend to all who ever met him. He tried playing football in High School, but due to injuries and plagued by dislocated shoulders that soon ended. He once believed and attempted to become a Prize Fighter, having fought a few matches at the Showboat Hotel in Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada. He was taught to Game Hunt by his dad, which he enjoyed during hunting seasons. His favorite pass-time was challenging anyone and whomever would agree to a game of Chess–be it in person or on-line. He would debate anyone on any game of sports and politics. For the past ten years, he made it a point to send his Mother a bouquet of flowers on his Birthday to thank her for giving him life. Both Paternal and Maternal Grandparents preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his forever smile and fond memories, his mother and father, Charles and Bertha Lloyd; Step Grandmother, Mrs. Nazaree Lloyd of Las Vegas, three children, Terrance Donaldson of Bay Port, MN; Aisha Marshall and Candiss Riggs of Las Vegas, NV; Sisters Valerie Reddic and Tamyra Riggs of Las Vegas, NV; Stepsister, Charlotte Baity (Tony) of Las Vegas, NV. Brothers, Gerald Riggs (Sherry) of Chattanooga, TN, Kevin Mason (Letrice) of North Las Vegas, NV; His very Special Friend and Companion, Sharon Williams and Family of Fayetteville, GA. His close-nit family also includes Aunt Lessie Smith (Raymond) of Las Vegas, NV, Shirley Campbell of Bellflower, CA; Uncle William Riggs of Tallulah, LA; Kenneth Campbell (Teresa) of Atlanta, GA; Juanita Riggs (Reginald) of Las Vegas, NV, and 7 Grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends.
