
Albert Eric Anderson, known affectionately as Rick, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 76 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on April 5, 1949, Rick was a devoted family man whose life was marked by unwavering dedication to his children and grandchildren.
Rick graduated from Park City High School, where he was active in various sports, showcasing his competitive spirit and love for the outdoors early in life. Following high school, he attended Southern Utah University before being drafted into the Army, where he served in Germany. While stationed overseas, he welcomed his first son, Jason. After returning to Utah, Rick welcomed two more sons into his life, Troy and Cody Anderson.
Professionally, Rick dedicated over 30 years to Thomas J. Peck and Sons Trucking in Lehi, Utah. His hard work and reliability made him a respected figure within the company and among his colleagues, who nicknamed him "The King of Koosharem."
Rick's passion for the outdoors was evident through his hobbies, which included skiing, fishing, hunting, camping, and 4-wheeling. These activities not only brought him joy but also allowed him to create lasting memories with his friends and family.
He is survived by his sister, Laurie Weil, married to Auggie; sons, Troy Anderson, engaged to Jennifer Zeer, and Cody Anderson, married to Cori Jo; daughter-in-law, Teri Anderson; eight grandchildren, Lyndsey (McCoy) Hopkins, Katie (Dakota) Deleeuw, Alison Anderson, Sophia Anderson, Isabell Anderson, Colby Anderson, Liv Anderson, and Owen Anderson; and five great-grandchildren. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Earne Anderson; brother, Blaine Anderson; and son, Jason Anderson.
Rick Anderson's life was a testament to his enduring love for family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of strength, loyalty, and devotion.
