

This past Sunday, we lost our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Alberta Louise Christian entered in to this world on November 4, 1941 in Joplin, MO to parents Victoria Crowe and Elmer Dubry. Alberta was the oldest of 4 children which included sisters Catherine Stanley (Gary), Sharon Piper (Deceased) and brother Kenn Duke. Growing up in Wilmington, CA where she shared an upbringing of many memories with loving stepfather Ervin Duke and mother Vicki. Alberta would later marry Donald G. Bell (1959-1984), during which time two daughters came in to the world, Rebecca Lines (Todd) and Cheri Galhandro (Joe).
Alberta spent most of her time as a loving wife and raising her daughters to adulthood. Later, after relocating to Southern CA, Alberta worked at the City of Torrance Police Department while attending school. During this time she met her second husband, Jesse O. Christian whom she was married from 2001 until his death in April 2018. When her stepdad retired, Alberta and Jesse relocated with the family to Las Vegas, NV where Alberta, her youngest sister and mother opened a successful mail services business until it sold. Alberta then retired along with husband and continued to reside in Las Vegas until her passing.
Alberta leaves behind her two daughters, sister and brother along with grandchildren Justin Galhandro (Brooke), Cleiton Lines (Amber), Elizabeth Williams (Geoff), Sierra Wicklund (Matt), and Shaun Lines; great-grandchildren Jayden and Jaxson Galhandro (Justin), Ian, Greyson, and Liam Lines (Cleiton), Madi, Hudson, and Mya Williams (Elizabeth), Ian and Emersyn Wicklund (Sierra); plus many nieces and nephews.
Alberta is predeceased by her parents, Victoria Duke, Ervin Duke, and Elmer Dubry; grandmother Nina McCarty, sister Sharon Piper, and sister-in-law Debbie Duke.
