Alfonso M. Perez

Alfonso M Perez, 93, of Las Vegas, Nevada, peacefully passed away on May 2, 2025. Born in Mexico City on March 12, 1932, Alfonso was the cherished son of the late Alfonso and Columba Perez and beloved husband to Lucia Martha Perez.

A proud veteran, Alfonso served honorably as a paratrooper in the Mexican Military before immigrating to Las Vegas in 1956 along with his wife Martha, and young son, Alfonso. He dedicated his professional life to the hospitality industry, joining the Tropicana Hotel at its opening in 1957. Over a distinguished career of more than 50 years, he rose to the position of Showroom Captain, becoming one of the hotel’s longest-serving employees and earning recognition. His love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren was so beautiful to witness, he would light up whenever he saw or spoke of them.

Alfonso was preceded in death by his father (Alfonso), Mother (Columba), Sisters (Gloria, Felicitas (Fela), Herlind (Linda), Daughter Roico M Keever and Son Alfonso.

Alfonso is survived by his wife Martha, and children Javier, Lulu Parisena, Marti Kennedy (Bill) and Sergio. Grandchildren John, Melissa, Greg, Iliana, Gabriella, Analiese, Nicole, Rachelle, Katrina, Jon, Sergio and Ricardo. Great grandchildren Ariana, Jordie,Jameson, Sarah, Jacob, Sadie Jo, Parker, Kadyn, Mazi, Kasen, Joseph Jr, Gianna and Jasper

His brother Armando Perez and sister Maria De La Luz “Pichu” Perez. Numerous cousins, in-laws,nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

A memorial service for Alfonso will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - South Jones, 1600 South Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
