

Almma spent her earlier years in Gilbert, Arizona and later she and her family relocated to Mesa, Arizona. In 19__ Almma decided to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada until her demise. Almma was an obedient child who very much adored her older siblings. She attended school until early high school level in Gilbert, Arizona.
Almma who was affectionately called by those who loved and knew her Ms. Almma was known for her love and passion for her children and grandchildren. She was known as a homemaker and caretaker to her grandchildren after the death of their mother. She was also a great mother, grandmother and companion to her siblings. Ms. Almma was recognized as a woman of great faith who strongly believed that if you trusted God, He would always make a way out of no way. She encouraged those she loved to always pray and consult God about every decision and concern they had in their lives. She was also known as a loving caregiver to many children in her community and could be found outside twirling jump ropes as she entertained the children in her neighborhood. She never met a stranger and always was willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, even if it meant giving vegetables from her beautiful garden.
Ms. Almma received Christ at a young age and followed closely after her older sisters Prophetess Vula Yates and the late Bishop Emma Yates in their ministries for many years. She was also a member of the Late Elder The First Church of God in Christ Elder Chester Morgan where she served as a faithful member.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. Bud Yates and Mrs. Eula Fields Yates, four siblings who all preceded her in death, Evangelist Vula A. Yates, Bishop Emma Yates, Joseph A. Yates and Jeremiah Yates.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sons Clemmon Braggs, Buddy Yates, Terrence Yates, Michael Yates, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Michelle Yates, of Atlanta, Georgia; Two daughters that preceded her in death, Reverend Pamela Yates and LaWanda Yates, One sister in law, Eddie Yates, of Baltimore Maryland; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends.
