Amador Manuel Fernández García, born in Barcelona on August 19, 1940 to Silvino Fernandez Valvidares, and Marina Engracia Garcia Calama, passed away in his Las Vegas home on July 12, 2026, with his loving sister Amalia by his side.
From an early age he learned responsibility, courage, how to overcome challenges, and loyalty to family. At the age of seven he had to be the ears and voice for his deaf parents as they fled post civil war in Spain, where there was political repression, economic hardships , and brutal political purges under Franco’s dictatorship .
This taught him that in life there are many sacrifices, and one must have the courage to move forward and create a better future.
He admired his mother Marina immensely and lived by her motto, “si, yo puedo.” Amador was a loving brother, and father figure to his hermanita, Amalia. He was forever loyal, protective, and helped give her a childhood full of rich memories. He helped shape her into
a strong, resilient, and persistent woman, just like their mother Marina. Amalia will miss their regular Sunday phone calls.
Amador was also a loving uncle to Lauren Amalia, (who he fondly called, “Kuki”), a father to Eddy, Bobby, Mark and Richard, grandfather to Sierra, Dylan, Colton, Daisy, Jagger, Brooklyn, Elwood, Jake, Rider, and Ronan, and great grand father to Jude. He had so much pride in his family and would want them to live happy, and fulfilling lives. In his final days he continued to remind them to chase their dreams, and that anything was possible.
May Amador rest peacefully knowing that the family he has left behind is doing well, thanks to all the sacrifices he made in life. He is now reunited with his beloved Mother Marina, and his family will miss and love him Hoy y Siempre.
