Born on August 8, 1958, Amelia lived a life defined by love, devotion, and quiet strength.
Amelia was a proud alumna of FEATI University and the Philippine Women’s University in Manila, institutions that helped shape her dedication and strength of character.
She was the beloved wife of Lambert Hidalgo and a devoted mother to Walter and Amber Hidalgo. Her greatest joy came from her family, and she treasured her role as a grandmother to her cherished grandson, Noah Fortez. Amelia’s home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her cooking.
Amelia had a deep love for preparing meals for those she cared about. Her famous jello cheesecake and egg foo young were family favorites, alongside many beloved Filipino dishes that brought everyone together around the table. Beyond the kitchen, she found joy in watching shows on TFC (The Filipino Channel) and reading romance novels, often spending peaceful afternoons lost in heartfelt stories.
She is survived by her husband Lambert Hidalgo; her children Walter and Amber Hidalgo; her grandson Noah Fortez; and her siblings Zenaida Valmoja, Helen, Jose Jr., Juanito, Romeo, and Josephine Dinong. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A viewing will be held starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, on March 6, 2026 at the Palms Mortuary on South Jones, as family and friends gather to celebrate her beautiful life and bid her farewell.
Her love remains in the hearts she nurtured and the lives she touched.
