

Angelo Emilio Bevilacqua Sr., a beloved resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on October 22, 2024. Born on March 1, 1937, in East Harlem, New York, to Vincent and Rose Bevilacqua, Angelo was the youngest of three brothers, earning the affectionate nickname "Babe."
Angelo's journey began on the streets of East Harlem, where he worked on a Pepsi truck and met his beautiful wife, Betty. He then served in the U.S. Army for two years, stationed in Germany with the 8th infantry . Upon his return, he married Betty, and together they raised five wonderful children: Lisa, Dina, Rosette, Babette, and Angelo Jr.
Angelo's career was marked by dedication and hard work. He started a Pepsi Cola vending machine business and joined the New York City Police Department in 1968. During his tenure with the NYPD, he served in the Tactical Patrol Force and was one of the original members of the Street Crime Unit.
He later worked in the 20th Precinct and concluded his career in Queens Narcotics. In addition to his full-time job, Angelo worked multiple side jobs, including driving a cab and working as a TWA baggage handler, to provide the best life for his family.
A passionate football fan, Angelo refereed youth Knights of Columbus games and played for the Brooklyn Mariners. He enjoyed watching black-and-white western movies, going on Disney vacations, and taking trips to Atlantic City. He was also a proud member of the Sons of Italy in Deer Park, NY.
Angelo and Betty shared 62 years of marriage and built a large, loving family. He is survived by his children: Lisa, Dina, Rosette, Babette, and Angelo Jr. nine grandchildren: Nikki, Jesse, Eddie, Eddie, Angelo Ill, Dominic, Giovanni, Lynnea, and Nikko; and six great-grandchildren: Stevie, Stella, Elizabeth, Dylan, Alexander, and Drew. He is also survived by his children's spouses: Eddie,Tommy, Giovanni, and Nicole. He is reunited with wife Betty and infant daughter Angela.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Palm Mortuary, located at 1600 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas. The viewing will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
