

Ann Marie Franz passed away October 20, 2015 at the age of 90. She was born Anna Marie Roembke on September 11, 1925 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Anna and William Roembke and was the ninth of eleven children. Ann attended St. Catherine’s Grade School and graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1943. In 1948, she married Henry H. Franz and they raised six children. She was a wonderful homemaker and retired from Macy’s (formerly L. S. Ayres & Co.) as a Bridal Consultant. Ann loved spending time with her family, playing bridge, and her morning coffee. She was a devoted Colts fan and an avid reader who enjoyed baking, traveling, swimming, and getting a great tan. She leaves behind her five loving children Steve (Kay), Donna, Tom (Lynn), John (Cindy), and Doug Franz, her sister Theresa “Tess” Springman and brother Raymond “Dutch” Roembke as well as her many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Ann was the proud and adored grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son David Franz. A selfless woman and devout Catholic, Ann will be remembered for her love of God and family, her beautiful smile, sparkling blue eyes, and loving heart. Services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Parish 7200 Sarto Drive Indianapolis, Indiana on November 4, 2015. A Gathering will begin at 9:00 A.M. followed by Mass and funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
