Anna Josephine Williams

Born and raised in Rochester, Anna carried her New York roots with pride throughout her life. Later, she made Las Vegas her home, where she built a successful career and created lasting friendships. Raised in the Roman Catholic faith, Anna's values of family, loyalty, and compassion remained central to the way she lived her life.

Anna will be remembered as a loving, caring, and fiercely devoted mother, sister, and friend. She was strong-willed, exceptionally intelligent, and known for her remarkable common sense—except, as those closest to her would lovingly joke, when it came to setting the air conditioner. Her quick wit and perfectly timed quips could brighten any room, bringing laughter to family gatherings and conversations alike. She was trustworthy, dependable, and someone others could always count on for honest advice, unwavering support, and a caring heart.

Anna was immensely proud of her family's Italian heritage and cherished the traditions, culture, and connections that linked generations of loved ones across New York and Italy. She especially loved traveling, with some of her favorite destinations including Florence, Rome, Capri, and Naples, as well as returning to her beloved homestate of New York.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures: relaxing after work with friends at Winchell's Pub & Grill, preparing delicious Italian meals, and spending time with her cherished dogs—Loki, her beloved Brussels Griffon, and Boo and Yoshi, her treasured Italian Greyhounds. Music was always a part of her life, and her playlists reflected her diverse tastes, ranging from Three Days Grace and Nirvana to Michael Jackson and country classics by Garth Brooks. She was also a passionate sports fan who faithfully cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Professionally, Anna enjoyed a long and accomplished career in information technology. She dedicated many years to DeLuca's, a respected Las Vegas distributor, before continuing her career with Dignity Health. Her intelligence, reliability, and work ethic earned the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout her career.

Anna is survived by her beloved son, Joe Strobel; her sisters, Diana, Margie, and Malina; her brothers, Donny and Eddie; and a large extended family spread throughout New York, Italy, and beyond. She also leaves behind many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty.

A Memorial Service will be held at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, StateOrProv NV, PostalCode 89131, Country US, on August 6, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
