While in NYC, Arlene wore many hats- Off Broadway performer, social worker, taxi driver, press agent and talent manager, to name a few. As a lyricist. Arlene was voted "Best New Songwriter of the Year" and awarded the highest new writer to join A.S.C.A.P. in the late 60's.
