

Jerry was born in Orange, California to Emil and Louise Fischbeck on March 22, 1935, the 4th of 8 children, with twin brother Larry.
He graduated from Anaheim High School where he was President of the FFA.
Jerry was a US Veteran joining the Army in 1957 and was stationed in Fort Bliss, as a Missile Mechanic. He received an Honorable Discharge in December of 1959, then continued to serve in the Army Reserve.
He then became a Mailman for the USPS in Anaheim, walking his route each day, and retiring after 35 years of service.
Jerry married Mary Anne Ridout at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Anaheim on July 23, 1960 and they had two daughters.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Al, Larry, Gene, Lou and Ron. He is survived by his sister, Gertrude and brother, Steve, daughters, Katie Lystlund (George) and Rachel Check (Danny), Grandchildren Justin Loya, Lila Simpson and Ryan Lystlund, Great-grandchildren Kloie, Karter, Kolton, Lucy, LJ, Willow, Cooper and Levi.
Jerry was a kind, loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, friend. He helped anyone who needed it, had a wonderful sense of humor, was an avid traveler, loved to tell stories about growing up in Southern California, and had the greenest of thumbs tending to farms and gardens his whole life.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Lystlund Residence at 5290 Strankman Avenue, Las Vegas 89135 on Friday, November 14th at 4:30 pm, the gate code: #1776.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to his caregivers from Unified Care Hospice for their loving services this past year.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Silver Sky Assisted Living, his home for the last 3 and a half years. Your kindness, love, care and friendship meant the world to him and our family.
Arnold will be laid to rest in Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside , California 92518.
