Art Bunky Cunningham

Merton A. (Art) Cunningham, 67, of Las Vegas passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born on February 1, 1947 in Augusta, Maine to Perley and Mary Cunningham. Art served in the United States Navy for 23 years and retired as a Radioman Chief. He was a resident of Las Vegas for nearly 30 years where he retired as a dispatcher for the fire department after 20 years of service. Art was a wonderful devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was passionate about his family, traveling, and off road jeeping. In addition, he was an avid gun enthusiast and a Ham radio operator. Art was a member of the Vegas Valley Four Wheelers Association, The National Rifle Association, and The American Legion Post 8651.

Art was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Jonathan Reynolds. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; son, Scott Cunningham (Kathy Kirkpatrick) of Las Vegas; and daughter; Debra Reynolds (Addison) of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Becky Tringali (Rooney) and Edie Cunningham of Maine; granddaughter, Bethany Reynolds of Dallas, Texas; and niece, Natasha Moiseenko of Maine. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
