Art is the most amazing Flamenco Artist I've ever seen. The fire, the pure spirit and love of his craft poured out of him.

He and Carissa together were magic on and off stage.

My love to his family. He will forever live in our hearts and in my memory.

I remember Artor coming on to the flamenco scene in L.A. with such vibrant energy. He worked hard and I could tell he had a strong sense of discipline. He was definitely noticed and stood out with his dashing looks. My memory fails me of the specifics but I know we performed together at one of the flamenco venues of the 1990s 2000s and for sure a Sevillana at a juerga here and there. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. My most sincere condolences to Carissa and all of Artor's family. Marcellina

I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Artoro back in 1998 for the premier of “The Mask of Zorro.” Artoro was dressed in an actual costume worn by Antonio Banderas. He loved this experience and it suited him well. He was just beginning to pursue his love for Spanish dance, namely flamenco. On the evening of the premier at the Wilshire Ebel we performed our choreographed number to the movie soundtrack. We were later asked to perform a couple of numbers with live music. Unbeknownst to us our accompaniment for the night was the one and only, Gino D’Auri. We didn’t have anything prepared but that didn’t stop Artoro from improvising his heart out. He truly embraced the moment! Artoro was an inspiration to us all! With his unwavering commitment, drive, passion and fearlessness he was going to conquer the world and make all his dreams come true! May his love for life be remembered always! RIP to a beautiful soul💐💗

A soulful human being. Very hardworking from what I remember. A dedicated human being to what was morally & heartfully correct. A person who put his family first before himself, is what we all saw in him. He left a very positive impression on all of us.

I remember the first time I met Artor, in Fall of 2013. I signed up for Carissa's CSN Flamenco Dance class and Artor was in the studio with his daughters, the first night of class. At that time, while observing Artor and his daughters interact, I remember thinking, "what a devoted and loving father." You will be dearly missed by many, "Poeta en el mar."
My deepest condolences to the Nazzari and Hernandez families.

Dearest Family, My heart aches for you. This world has lost a beautiful soul. Artor, watching you come into my dear cousin, Carissa’s life, was magical. You became part of our extended family with ease and love. I promise that we will be there for your girls, and for Carissa, and they have our never-ending love and support. Witnessing your talent with music and dance, seeing you as a husband and father, a loving brother in law to Adam, a wonderful and fun cousin to us, it is a gift. The picture I included is on the day of my Dad, Elias Rocha’s, celebration of life after his service. You were there with us, up all night long, playing music and sharing in our sorrow and grief. You were a tremendous support. What a blessing it is to have so many meaningful and positive memories. I will carry them with me forever. Thank you for coming into this world and being part of our life. We will carry you in our heart forever.
