

On February 26, 2018, Asa Lawson, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. Asa was born on October 24, 1941 in Huntington, West Virginia to Asa Sr. and Arma Lawson. He was the youngest child with four older siblings, William, Delores, Alice, and Connie. Asa received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Florida. He worked numerous managerial positions most of his life, ranging from a retail shopping mall to hospitals, such as Tampa General and St. Mary's Hospital. He was a proud Marine and an accomplished 32nd degree Mason at the Tampa Scottish Rite Orient of Florida for many years. Asa loved to cook and bake. He was an all around handyman who could fix anything and everything. He is survived by his wife Annabelle, as well as his seven children, Steve (Alisha), Lisa (Dwain), Kevin, Kelley (Doug), Nicole, Ashley, and Aaron. Asa also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren to cherish his memory, most of whom live in Florida, Ohio, and California.

Asa's funeral service will be held at 11am on March 12, 2018, at Palm Northwest Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada, located at 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Urn placement will be held at 12 pm at the Palm Northwest Cemetery, Cremation Columbarium, at the same location.
