

Barbara J Gee was born February 9, 1946 to Lonnie and Euradine Ingram. Barbara was raised in Richmond, California. She was brought up to be self-confident and dependable. These were traits that would serve her well throughout her life.
Barbara was raised with four siblings. She had two older brothers, one sister, and one younger brother. Barbara was constantly involved in activities with her brothers and sisters.
As a young child, Barbara took part in track and baseball. In her spare time she liked to cook, go fishing, play games, go dancing, and talking. However, what Barbara enjoyed most was simply playing and spending time with her many friends.
She graduated from Richmond High School in 1963. While growing up, her best friend was Lucy Runnels. Later in life, she became friends with Erma and Lee Gaston.
On October 8, 1994 Barbara exchanged wedding vows with Oscar Matthew Gee at the Little White Chapel of Las Vegas, Nevada. Compassionate and devoted to Oscar, Barbara held endearing, traditional values about marriage and family life. She took the responsibility of marriage to heart, giving it her total commitment. She was a source of strength to Oscar and using her gifts at nurturing one-on-one relationships, she worked hard to make her new family happy.
Barbara was blessed with four children, three sons, Charles Brown, Donnell Brown, and Marcus Brown, and one daughter, Sabrina Brown.
Barbara's primary occupation was gift admin supervisor\manager at UC Berkeley. She was employed for 20 years at UC Berkeley and 15 years at Greyhound. Barbara worked hard to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done. Some of her most prestigious awards included a certificate of appreciation from UC Berkeley.
Barbara liked to experience things first-hand as well as learn about them. This trait carried over into her hobbies, where she was very methodical in how she organized her activities and categorized things. Her favorite pursuits were cooking, gardening, fishing, and traveling.
Barbara found pleasure in sports. Tops on her list were football and professional basketball. Politically, Barbara was Democrat.
Barbara was a member Evergreen Baptist Church for two and a half years. She was a sympathetic woman who valued her beliefs and was willing to work tirelessly for them.
Barbara enjoyed traveling and taking vacations, her favorite vacations included going to Costa Rica.
When Barbara’s retirement finally arrived in November 1, 2004, she was well prepared. She always trusted and placed value in what was logical and in the things she knew, so she was very confident in planning her retirement. She had begun the process early and had her retirement all laid out well in advance. Her new life involved relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada. In retirement, she found new pleasure in attending church and shopping.
Barbara J Gee passed away on February 27, 2020 at at her home in Las Vegas, NV. She is survived by her husband, her children, and her siblings. Services were held at Palm Northwest Mortuary. Barbara was laid to rest in Palm Northwest Cemetery.
