

Bayot (Byke) B. Dellota, age 75, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on August 22, 2021. He was born on July 21, 1946 in Roxas City, Philippines, the third child of twelve of Arturo Dellota Sr. and Josefa Amy Bayot. He graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology with a Mechanical Engineering degree and soon started working for USI Philippines (Caterpillar). This is where he saw Linda in the hallway and told his friends “That is the girl I’m going to marry!”
They decided to come to the United States as a family of six in 1981 and worked hard to have a successful life that began in Chicago, Illinois. He worked as a nuclear inspection engineer at Commonwealth Edison for most of his career and was able to retire at the young age of 56. He spent his retirement years in Las Vegas playing mahjong, golfing, bowling, eating good food and enjoying his time with family and friends.
Byke is survived by his loving wife, Erlinda (Linda) Vicente Dellota and children Abigail (John Lape+, Amanda, Dean), Ray (Christy Herrmann, Camille, Andrew, and Nathan), Frank (Alina Boruszko, Marimar), and Mark. He will be missed as big brother to Catalino, Arturo Jr, Salvador, Marilyn, Albert, Ely, Christine and as uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Arturo Sr. and Josefa, sister Patricia and brothers Ildefonso, Ricardo and Alfredo.
A memorial service will be held on September 4, 2021 at 11:00am at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89129. Family visitation precedes the memorial and will be open at 10:00am. Father Ryan Dellota of St. Michael Parish of Livermore will be officiating.
