His wife, sister Judy and brother-in-law Henry by his side.
Ben is preceded in death by both parents Mariano Dapun Doming and Alice Elvira Domingo.
Benjamin also known as Ben, Benji, Ben-Jam-In, and Uncle Bean. He was born in Oahu, Hawaii and raised in San Jose, CA, but has resided in Las Vegas, NV for the last 36 years.
Those left to cherish his memories are:
His wife Kay, their furbaby Macky, his 3 step-children Terry, Sheila, and Kevin, 6 Grandchildren and 3 Greatgrand children, along with his older brother Joe and 3 sisters Judy, Lawana and Karen, also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ben was a people person. He loved being around and helping others. He loved to make you laugh and smile.
Ben moved to Las Vegas in 1986 and there he met his wife Kay in 1987. Ben and Kay were married in June of 1992. They spent their honeymoon in San Francisco to celebrate their special day.
When Ben was younger he use to get into trouble for always clowning around, the teachers didn't like it as much as his friends did.
Ben started out marching in the Color Guard carrying the American Flag for the Saliorettes, then went on to march in the South Bay Medieval Barons Drum and Bugle Corp. playing in the horns section.
Ben inherited a love of cooking from his Dad. Ben would cook the most amazing meals.
Later in life Ben became very involved in the Sons of the American Legion at Post #8. He also did a term as the President. After that he continued to participate as a part of a group of volunteers who would pick up the food and help deliver it to Veterans Villages throughout Las Vegas. He was also involved in helping cook for any special event and BBQ's at the post. Ben was very passionate about riding his motorcycle with the group to many events and excursions. Ben loved and enjoyed the friendships that were bonded between the members of the Legion.
Here are a couple of memories from Ben's siblings:
Joe:
The first time that came to mind is when Ben saved Christmas for us.
We needed a Christmas tree, remember Ben's tan Toyota 4X4...
Well he let me borrow his truck so we could go up the mountain and cut a tree down. It was probably one of the hardest and most generous things he could have ever done, tossing the keys to his beloved truck to his big brother knowing damn well he might not ever see his baby in one piece again. That shows how much he cares about family and I have never forgotten that. Pure heart 100 percent. 💯 💜
Judy:
If it wasn't for Ben, Henry and I would have never met and married. He would always joke around with me and say "if it wasn't for me, you would've never met Henry" ... And I'd say, "yeah and I still haven't forgiven you for that." Lol. I'm going to miss going over to your place and playing cards Brother. You'll always be in my heart. ♥️
Lawana:
When we were younger Ben use to bug the heck out of me with all his clowning around, but when it came to the point of put up or shut up, he was always there for me and I was always there for him. We didn't say or do all the cute mushy stuff, we just knew in our hearts that if anything happened to the other, we always had each other's back. I'm really going to miss you little brother ❤ 🥺
Karen:
It was Judy and Hanks wedding, Ben said let’s dance! It was a slow dance and while dancing he whispered in my ear I don’t care what they say you’ll always be my sister. Love 💕
It will be hard not hearing your laughter or seeing you grin from ear to ear anymore 💔 Rest peacefully Ben ❤
You were the best Husband, Brother, Uncle, Apu/Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Cow-sin (Cousin), and Friend.
🏝 Aloha Oe 🏝 Until we meet again ⚘❤⚘
