Bernard Irgang

Bernard "Bernie" Irgang, 87, of Las Vegas, NV was born on October 5, 1934, in Chicago, IL., to the late Adolph and the late Mildred "Millie" (nee) Adler. He passed away on August 28, 2022, after a long illness.

Bernie proudly served in the United States Army and then in the Chicago Police Department. He was a handler with the K-9 unit. He had a fulfilling career. He enjoyed Chicago Cubs baseball, basketball, and playing Pac-man and solitaire.

Bernie was a loving husband, father, papa and friend. Bernie was preceded in death by his parents Adolf and Millie Irgang. He is survived by his wife; Fay, children; Theodore W Weyhmueller Jr. , Valerie Irgang-Majkowicz (the late Kenneth), granddaughters; Stephanie and Nicole (partner Brian Cheatham), children; Mark Christopher Irgang, Laura Pottle (Jeff), grandchildren Sarah, Jake, and Sean.

A visitation for Bernard will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A luncheon will follow for invited guests, at Mimi's Cafe on Durango Drive.
