

Betty Gayle Martineau Richards, 82, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully in her sleep October 31th, 2015. She was born October 3th 1933 in Kanab, Utah and was a resident of Las Vegas for the last 64 years. Betty was a devoted wife and mother, supportive of her husband and raising her four children in a loving household.
She was an ideal friend, always accentuating the positive and finding something warm to say about everyone around her; she was the kindest person you could possibly find. She will be sorely missed by the family and friends she leaves behind as she joins her father Amon Douglas Martineau; her mother Mavis Sorenson; her brother Lavan Martineau; and her daughter Gayleene Richards in Paradise.
Betty is survived by her foster-mother, Della Higley, of Springdale, Utah; her step brother Donald Ray (Marty) Martineau, of Mountain View, California; her husband, L. Dean Richards, of Las Vegas; her son James Douglas Richards and wife Beverly, of Salem, Oregon; son Russell Stacey Richards and wife Debra, in Las Vegas; son Michael Martineau Richards and his wife Carol, in Las Vegas; as well as numerous nieces, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews.
Thanks to all of the friends who have been a part of Betty’s full life, enriching and sharing her days on this earth.

Viewing Thursday Nov. 5 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 6th, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
