Beverly Ann Davis

Beverly Ann Davis, age 77, of Las Vegas, passed away on August 22, 2015. She was born April 26, 1938 to Marion and Jack Ridley in Central City, Kentucky, and had been a resident of Nevada since 1990. She attended elementary school in Bronx, NY, High School of Industrial Art in Manhattan, NY majored in fashion illustration, graduated in 1955, and attended college at Suny in Mt. Vernon, NY where she studied business courses. She met the love of her life, Pavevo and they were married in Mt. Vernon, NY in Westchester County on September 27, 1958. From there union, they had two children, Brenda Marlene and Derek Andre. Beverly enjoyed decorating her beautiful home, drawing, playing cards, going to the casino, sewing, and traveling. She enjoyed traveling so much that she had become a world traveler. She and Pavevo had visited the Bahamas, Europe, Greece, Panama, the Caribbean, Spain, Turkey, and Italy just to name a few. While employed, she worked as a Service Manager for Phillips Electronics in Mahwah, NJ for 20 years. After her retirement in 1990, Beverly and her family relocated to Las Vegas, NV. She was bored with being retired, she started working for Macy’s as a Jones of New York representative and later in fine jewelry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Jack Ridley; sister, Doris Ridley in 1993; brother, Raymond Reid in 1994; and daughter, Brenda Davis in 2005. Beverly is survived by her husband of 57 years, Pavevo Davis; dedicated son, Derek Davis (Shelly Catlin); grandchildren, Derek Jr., Cameron, Isabella, Gianna and Kylin; brother, Howard “Chip” Reid; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Beverly will be truly missed. Special thanks from the family to loving niece, Sonya Davis; lifetime loving and caring sister-friend, Lorraine Ballard; and supportive friends, Chester A. and Ruth Pleasant. A Celebratory Memorial Service will be held in Beverly’s honor on Thursday, September 17th at 1:00pm at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
