Bobby attended Bishop Gorman High School where he was a highly sought-after football and basketball player, he graduated in 1982. After high school, he attended San Diego State University where he obtained a B.A. in Criminal Justice all while thriving on the basketball court. Bobby had many articles written about him; he was also featured in the LA Times. Also, Bobby ascertained a master’s degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling. His love of music was 'off the charts,' his dance renditions were entertaining and will always be remembered.
Bobby is survived by his sons Bobby Ray Owens III and Michael Anthony Owens. Moreover, he's survived by his mother, Marie Waller, brothers, Johnny Matthews, Danny Owens, Lloyd Waller III, and sister, Regina Owens. In addition to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In his later years, Bobby fully accepted Christ into his life.
