Oh Dear Bombo. You were more like an uncle to me than a 2nd cousin.  When mother  moved us to Beatty you took me under your wing and taught me so much. Letting me ride that big heavy moped around town, taking the ponies out for a ride, returning and making sure they were hosed-down, fed and combed. You taught me how to fish at a very young age. I was Immediately hooked. Camping with you was always a joy and entertaining. Just like my sister Kay said, the stories you told us are priceless. Fishing with Steve Revert, Ace Still. Umong others. I will always keep them in my heart. After all,  they needn't get out as many of them are for adults only. lol. But perhaps the best thing (besides your love), that I took from our relationship was growing up near you as a boy and learning how to be an adult.  I think that I speak for my brother Glen as well. Thank you! To Bunny, Penny and the entire family, my broken heart goes out to you. I loved Bombo and Jane. And I love to. 

My heart is heavy for you Penny and Bunny.

His laugh! I will always hear his laugh and when I do, I will smile.

My sisters are correct in their writings, Bombo was a great cousin to our mom. 

Bombo will surely be missed.. He was a great loving man.. my family has many memories of him and Jane.. also fun memories of are cousin Bunny and Penny.. we remember your grandma Minnie. I found a great picture of your dad at 15 it was taken at Scottys Castle. He was very handsome, love Cousin Mary and the Cotton sisters

He was like a grandpa that I never had  I know he is not resting but up there fishing in peace  I will miss fishing with him 

Oh my sweet Bombo, you were one of a kind. I loved the stories you shared about you growing up in Beatty. Running barefoot all over town, delivering apple pies to the residents. I loved your sweet spirit, not a lot of words, but then when you spoke, it was with so much common sense, and a silent smile, that said so much. We were all so lucky to know you and have you in our lives working at Janda Ribbons, it won't be the same without you. Bless your hearts, Jane and Bombo, we love you. 


Bunny, Penney and Family,
    Our thoughts prayers and deepest sympathy for your loss.  Bombo was a special friend.  The only man we knew who never wore a coat even in Decembers cold and windy weather.   Learning about harvesting pine nuts and all his gardening tips.  He was wise in all things.  His life is a good example for all of us to follow.     We will miss him.                                    

Bunny, Penny and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Bombo was a good man and a good cousin to my mom and the entire family. When I think of Bombo I remember him smiling and his quiet l little laugh. Bombo was always whistling as he did his repair work around Janda Ribbons. He could fix anything. Bombo always seemed so content in his life and he didn’t take anything too seriously. We should all try to be more like him.

Bombo and I had a great time playing softball together and he was a good friend. Loved hanging out iwth bombo and his brother Spike.

I am so saddened to hear of Bombo’s passing. I have known him and loved him for years. He was a kind and gentle soul. I will miss his warm eyes and laugh. I will miss his hugs. Take care of Jane and all the critters in heaven . I will miss you. I love    You. Denny

Bombo is a true legend and will be greatly missed. I always loved listening to my brothers and Bombo talk about their fishing trips. The stories are very entertaining. They had a blast with him. 

Whenever I hear the song "Seasons In The Sun" I think of Mom (Dolly) and Bombo as kids growing up. 

I have known Bombo Cottonwood for 65 years.  He has always been a wonderful person. I watched him pitch for the Beatty softball team from across the street, where I lived.  He was an honest, honorable person and will be missed by me and everyone who knew him.
