Brenda I didn't know how sick you had been! When informed that you had died a month or more before my phone call to your home, I started to think only of myself "what am I going to do this year when 19 September comes"? You never forgot about Thomas and I: and we had always been in touch over the 19 years since our daughter was killed. You were one of the first to arrive at the house. The Love and Caring you shared by having your Mother call to comfort me has never been forgotten. At Desert Springs Hospital you were always a beacon of Life, Hope, and always a Joy to work with. Thank you Brenda over and over again; cause some days I did not think I was going to make it. To your wonderful family -...memories are the window that keeps the past in view...(Author unknown). I can see your big smile and hear your laugh to experience the joy in your heart. Rest in Peace Brenda Joyce Kennedy, my forever friend.

 There will never be words that can explain your greatness there will never be a time that i can effectively express the amount of love i have for you ... with your skin so soft and your smell so sweet looking into your eyes putting me in a trans of sweet dreams ... youre an angel ...you were pure royalty walking in the flesh although you will be missed my heart is satisfied that all your troubles are now put to rest the words you spoke were power the paths you took were sucess and everything and everyone you prayed upon was sure to be blessed you can stand tall now in your full stature dance and sing be filled with nothing but joy and laughter no longer will you hurt no longer will you cry no longer will you worry or even wonder why brenda joyce brenda joyce oh how you are a queen and you legacy will forever mean the most to me

My sister, I will now have to celebrate my birthday without you, and there will be an empty space on the calendar and in my heart. Not only did we share the same birthday (three years apart), but we also shared the same occupation registered nurses. We will miss the talent/gifts that God blessed you with which you shared so freely such as singing, poetry, biblical wisdom, counseling, knitting/seamstress, and culinary skills. To you my sister Brenda, I won't say goodbye just goodnight because I plan to see you in that great getting up morning----

You loved unconditionally in this sinful world
You were intentional with words of wisdom
Your selfless acts and sound advice were the epitome of who you truly were
And you held onto God's unchanging hand despite the circumstances.
