Bruce Kingsley Bundy Jr.

Bruce was born in Camden, New Jersey, on September 11, 1958, to Bruce Bundy Sr and Celeste Justice. He attended school in Pennsauken and continued to reside in New Jersey throughout his youth with his father and was blessed with his son Chris. He then met the love of his life Linda in San Diego where they welcomed their daughter Jazmine and then relocated to Las Vegas where they welcomed their daughter Jinay.

Bruce worked for many years with the Nevada Housing Authority, where he was a dedicated member of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) as a Steward and later Chief Steward fighting for his fellow peers. Outside of work, Bruce had a passion for food and making sure anyone that stopped by the house had something to eat. A die-hard dedicated football fan his passion for the Philadelphia Eagles was unstoppable. In his retirement years he enjoyed attempts at gardening, racing remote cars with his friends, reading, old skool music, watching mafia movies with his favorite being the Godfather always accompanied by Chinese food, and spending time with his forever ride or die love Linda. He brought laughter to those around him, often punctuating his stories with the kind of colorful language that became one of his most memorable trademarks. His humor, honesty, and unmistakable way of expressing himself will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Linda Bundy. He is missed dearly by his children: Chris Rivers and his wife Shana; Jazmine Bundy; Jinay Kline and her husband, Daniel. He was preceded in death by his father Bruce Bundy Sr, sister Cassandra Wabara, brother-in-law Emmitt Johnson II, and niece Belinda Collins. He is mourned by his stepmother Judith Jones, his mother Celeste Justice, brother Eric Smith, sisters NaKia Bundy and Lori Redd, brother-in-law Wayne Collins; sisters-in-law Brenda Collins, Debra Bush, and Edna Johnson Turner. Spiritual advisor Earlean Blackmon; his aunts Marva Roseberry, Inez Wyche, Paulette Griggs, and Jacqueline Woodward; his nieces Ashley Wabara, Alexandrea Wabara, Kimberly Bush, Pamela Collins, Semiyah Blackmon, god-daughter Carla Macklin, and great-nieces Khiana Collins, Brielle Collins, and Arianna Scott; his grandson, Kyler; his nephews Wayne Collins Jr, Brian Collins, Kevin Collins, Emmitt Johnson III, Steve Garcia and great-nephew KeVel Collins. Cousins Angie, Denise, Oscar, Anthony, Marc, and Michael along with countless friends and extended family members who each carry their own fond memories of him in their hearts.

To all who read this and feel the weight of this loss: please do not let your hearts be troubled. It is natural that our spirits feel crushed right now, and we take comfort in knowing the Lord is close to the brokenhearted in these moments. Yet, we do not grieve as those who have no hope. We find our peace in knowing that a place was prepared for Bruce in our Father’s house. While we mourn his absence here, we take immense comfort knowing that to depart from this world is to be at home with the Lord, and we rejoice that Bruce is now safely there with his father Bruce Sr and sister Cassandra.
