

Candy J. Theriault of Las Vegas, passed away October 13, 2015 after a two year battle with cancer. She was born September 28, 1950 in Palo Alto, CA to Millicent and the late Robert Gettle. She moved to Las Vegas, NV when she was five years old and lived there the remainder of her life. She married her high school sweetheart, the late Michael Theriault, and together devoted their lives to each other and their family. Candy was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Gettle, Jr. She is survived by her son, Ryan Theriault (Crystal) of Herriman, UT; daughter, Jennifer Ledford (Fred) of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Jacob, Dallin, Lincoln and Lily Theriault, and Blake, Dean and Emmry Ledford; sister, Sue Winchester of Grand Canyon, AZ; brother, Rick Gettle of Redwood City, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law/best friend, Bruce and Sherri Theriault, and many other beloved family members on the Theriault and Gettle sides, including aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Candy began employment with the Thomas and Mack Center at UNLV in 1988, where she worked her way from a Payroll Clerk to the Associate Arena Director. She loved being a part of the Thomas and Mack family and planned to retire later this year. Candy will be remembered by many for her courage and grace and her incredibly positive, tenacious spirit. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6051 Dorrell Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
