

Carlos I. Moore was the third child born to the union of Irving Garland (I.G.) Moore and Daisy Mariel Nelson in Miami, Arizona on August 20 1939. He attended Jefferson, Bullion Plaza Elementary Schools and graduated from Miami High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University located in Flagstaff, Arizona.
He met and married his rock, Gloria William, on July 22, 1961. From that union they had four children, Gregory Cardell Moore of San Jose, California; Vincent Irving Moore, Patrise Moore-Finks and Christopher Trevor Moore of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prior to graduation, Carlos was employed as a grocery clerk, lumber fabricator and a City of Flagstaff policeman. Upon graduation, he became employed by Standard Oil of California, currently known as Chevron. While employed there, he performed duties in the credit, retail and wholesale departments. His final title was Territory Manager.
After thirty years with Chevron, he and his wife retired in Las Vegas. But not being allowed by Gloria to upset her household, he returned to the workforce performing retail, collections and employed by Nevada DMV for ten years.
While in San Jose, Carlos gave back to the community through a group of young men known as the, “Ambassadors of San Jose”. These individuals would generate funds and create scholarships to deserving high school graduated to assist in furthering their education.
A celebration of life for Carlos will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89131.
