Carol H Stewart

Carol Hendrix Stewart was born in Ely, Nevada on December 23, 1927, to Gideon Ray Hendrix and Thora Gardner Hendrix. She passed away February 27, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, her home for the last 60 years. Carol married Theron Dick Stewart August 31, 1948, in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a life long active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She lived most of her life in Nevada including Lund, Ely, Fallon and Las Vegas. She lived in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii for 5 years. Carol spent her final 18 months under the loving care of the staff of Silverado Red Rock Memory Care for which the family will be forever grateful.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Verl Hendrix and Bobby Hendrix and Sisters Veloy McCray and Delva Schank. She is survived by sons Larry Stewart (Teddie), Chad Stewart (Barbara), Dale Stewart (Lynnette) and daughter Malia Todd (Aaron). She was grandmother to 10 and great-grandmother to 24. Family was everything to her and her family loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be held Monday March 4th at 1:00 pm at the L.D.S. chapel on 3200 N. Mustang St. at Cheyenne Ave.
