Catherine Elizabeth Sloan

Cathy (Hooyman) Sloan, 83, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on January 5th, 2019. She was born on October 9th, 1935 in Neenah, Wisconsin. Cathy was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (known as GG). Cathy is survived by her beloved children: Gail (Dave) Weyenberg, Kurt (Wendy) Borneman, Randy (aka Rudy) (Linda) Borneman, Beth Spreitzer, and Jill Sloan; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren along with her sister Bonnie (Johnny) Bryant. Cathy is preceded in death by her husband John Sloan. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 at Palm Mortuary Northwest at 6701 North Jones Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89131.

Cathy and John loved traveling the world as well as most states. Cathy was a very extraordinary person who lived life to the fullest and always liked to have fun in everything she did. She was a master poker player. She created so many memories with everyone that she touched and always made people feel special. She loved Christmas and birthday celebrations especially; always made them special for each person. Cathy loved when her family came to visit and fun times included guessing the money jars.
