Brannon in Southern California. Catrina affectionately was known to her family as “Trina” and
“Cat” to her friends and co-workers. Catrina was the only daughter out of the 4 children her
mother Darlene had.
As a child Catrina was known as the fairy princess of the family, she was energetic while running
through the halls and rooms of her grandmother’s house. Catrina used to make up precious
stories about her brothers and cousins and all the family members. Trina grew up in a close-knit
family that loved her.
Catrina loved to play with dolls and sing and dance. Catrina loved being a part of the Carson
Queenette’s drill team along with her cousins Myesha & Paulette, and her brother Leion as the
drummer. Catrina would dance and sing everywhere she went, even at the grocery stores and
at the malls. Trina would use any item she could find as a microphone to sing when she was a
child. Trina attended Broadacres Elementary School, then she continued to Curtiss Jr. High in
Carson, CA. Catrina and her family then moved to San Bernardino County where she attended
Rialto High School where she received her high school diploma. Catrina accepted Jesus as her
lord and savior at an early age.
Catrina resided in Long Beach where she obtained her first apartment, and her first job as a
Safety Attendant at the Refinery. Catrina then relocated to Las Vegas with her brother Robert
Brannon, in 2012, where she started her career as a Customer Services Rep for Capital One.
Then Catrina found her life-long career as a Senior Client Advocate Escalation Expert for Bank of
America, meeting a host of friends and colleagues along the way. Catrina worked hard for her
goals in life, one of Catrina's goals was to purchase a home for herself and her dear mother
Darlene which she had successfully achieved in Las Vegas in 2021.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Catrina. She loved a quiet evening with
friends and sipping on her favorite drink. Catrina loved spending time in the kitchen, creating
delicious meals that had to include steak for her family and friends. Catrina also enjoyed
listening to music, traveling, and eating at fancy restaurants.
Catrina was preceded in passing by her father, Martin Brannon, Her Grandmother Catherine
Hampton, Grandfather Oliver Hampton, Grandfather Carlton Brannon, Brother Robert Brannon,
her cousin Trayvon Hampton, and other family members.
Catrina was called home just shy of her 45th birthday which would have been September 24,
2024. Catrina leaves behind her darling mother Darlene Hampton, her grandmother Jacquie
Nalley, her siblings: Dion, Leion, Keith, Joann, and Angelique Brannon, a host of nieces and
nephews, her Aunts and uncles Anthony, Doris, Dawn, Steven, Jean, Tony, Keith, and Mark. And
a host of family and friends. Catrina was a rare light and left us too soon. With love to you
“Trina”, and “Cat” until we meet again. Rest well Queen, we love and will miss you dearly.
