Charles Robert Beckert, devoted husband and dedicated father, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2017. He was born August 31, 1947 in Lakewood, Ohio. He lived most of his life on Long Island before retiring to Las Vegas. A consummate and well respected professional he worked as a landscape architect and civil engineer for over 45 years, most notably with Henderson and Bodwell and H2M. He was fiercely loyal to his alma mater, Penn State, and his dynastic Islanders. He was also a meticulous craftsman and a lover of nature and rock and roll, especially Eric Clapton. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth (nee Jewel). Charles is survived by his wife, Susan (nee Albini); his son, Jason (Kelly) Beckert; his grandchildren, Vivienne and Coraline; his stepchildren, Lisa Margaroli and Michael Margaroli. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00AM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the American Cancer Society. Charles was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
