

Charles Nathaniel Bowler, 94, passed away on Wednesday, August 5th. Born November 21st, 1931 to parents Elmore Bowler and Keziah Harris in Baltimore, MD, Charles lived a life defined by service, family, and love.
Charles served in the United States Air Force for 23 years. He worked his way up through the ranks to Helicopter Technician Sergeant and experienced tours across the world from Thailand, the Philippines, the UK, Germany and more. While he was stationed in upstate New York, his life changed forever when he met Adele C. Smith, the love of his life. From the moment they met, it was love at first sight, and made he made it clear as day that he wanted to marry her.
Charles and Adele built a family together, welcoming their son Darryl in 1964 and daughter Michelle in 1966. In addition to Darryl and Michelle, he loved Adele’s children, David, Glen, and Wendell as his own sons.
Charles promised to keep his family together throughout his military career, including relocating his family and his family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, with his last post for the United States Air Force being at Nellis Air Force Base.
Charles was a dedicated family man who showed his love through his actions. He loved his Cadillacs, Motown, War movies, Baltimore sports teams, and $5 Tuesday movie dates with Adele.
Charles was fiercely independent, loyal, and devoted to giving his family the best life he could. He will be remembered for keeping his promises and loving his family wholeheartedly.
Charles is survived by daughter, Michelle, and his grandson, Ronald. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adele, son, Darryl, and stepsons, David, Glen, and Wendell.
A visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, US, on August 28, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A committal service will take place at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City, NV 89005, US, on August 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:40 pm.
