Charles T. Neville, Jr. (June 12, 1946 - August 29, 2021) Charles Neville (Chuck), 75, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on August 29, 2021. He was born in Orange, CA on June 12, 1946, to Charles T. Neville, Sr. and Gladys S. Neville. He spent his childhood in Idaho Falls, ID. and moved with his family to Las Vegas, NV in 1962. He met and married Deborah Rodriguez and together they had three children, Lisa, Charles, and James. Though his first marriage ended, he found love again, marrying Julie Taylor, lovingly raising her son Daniel, and having two more children, Sarah, and Andrew. Chuck joined the US Army in 1966 and proudly became a member of the US Army 82nd Airborne Division and was a communications officer during the Vietnam War. He loved his country and was very proud of his service in the Army, supporting service and veteran’s organizations as he was able throughout his life. After returning from military service, Chuck began his career in the gaming industry at the El Cortez. He retired from the MGM Grand in 2018. Chuck was a hard worker and dedicated employee. He saw his work as a duty to be performed well and received recognition from his customers, co-workers, and employers alike throughout his career. He enjoyed good times with friends, of whom he had many, often making a point to locate and contact old friends during his travels. He was a kind and generous man, loved by most people he encountered. Chuck loved sports and outdoor activities. He learned to ski as a child, becoming an excellent skier. He was also a runner and competed in several local races in his 20s and 30s. He loved the peace and beauty he found in camping and fishing in the great outdoors. Many of his favorite experiences were on vacations with his children. He spent many summers taking them on trips around the country. They traveled to the World's Fair in Spokane WA, fishing, skiing, numerous family reunions, and later in life, he travelled to Ireland, Belize, and Mexico with his sons James and Andrew. More than anything, Chuck loved his family. He was young at heart and always found a special connection with the children in his life. His greatest tragedy was the loss of his youngest daughter, Sarah, at age 20, a loss from which he struggled to recover. His presence in our lives will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his father, his daughter Sarah, and his mother. He is survived by sister Kathleen J. Neville, brother-in-law and friend, Dennis Solari, four children, Elizabeth (Neville) Leininger, Charles Neville, III, James Neville, and Andrew Neville, one stepson, Daniel Taylor, and ten grandchildren (Bryce, Tristin, Magyre, Corrigan (CJ), Rileigh, Finley, Olivia, Bella, Sarah, Liam), two step grandchildren, Kailey and Ryan, as well as nieces Caitlin Solari and Erin Solari. Services will be held at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church on September 17, 2021, at 10 A.M.
