Charles Earl “Bud” Priester passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018. He was 88 years old. Bud was born in Helena, Montana on November 13, 1929. Bud came to Nevada as a very young boy, living with his mother, Hazel and his father, Oscar and going to school in Tonopah. Characteristic of the toughness that would mark his whole life, Bud would walk miles every day to and from school. He also worked as a supervisor for Bechtel Corporation at McCarran Airport, later working for Clark County, Nevada in the same capacity. Bud entered hospice care in November of 2016 and was not expected to live beyond a few weeks. However, always the fighter, Bud survived for another 13 months.
