Remembering my dad today that past a year ago.  Dear dad, I miss you dearly.  I started seriously painting now.  You are definitely loved and not forgotten.

My dad hated injustice.  In public if he saw the little guy being bullied by a bully, he would not hesitate to come to his self defense.  It was automatic in him to do so.  When he was in the military, everyone was sleeping in their bunk beds.  He heard a young soldier crying.  My dad got up quietly, as everyone slept, to see what was wrong.  It turned out, a big bully guy was trying to sexually assault him.  Now my dad was a great boxer.  He beat the crap out of the perpetrator.  He was put in the black box for 14 days in the military down south for starting a fight.  He would pay the price to help rescue a victim.  Thank you dad for all your love, encouragement, and support.  I miss you dearly.  Love, Monica

Charles was our brother-in-law for many years and knowing him was a real joy. He was a soft spoken man with a friendly attitude and an amazing sense of humor.Also,God had blessed Charles with an extraordinary talent for panting which he displayed throughout their home. He was always hospitable whenever we came for a visit. I especially remember when Charles picked up my husband and I from the Airport. He would always take us on a two-three hour tour around to the various beautiful places in the city.The smile on his face showed us how happy, proud and excited he was to drive us around. Sis I thank you for the loving and faithful care  which you gave Charles during his illness. Katy I pray that you and the family will cherish your memories of Charles in your hearts forever.Remember God’s words which says, “precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints”Ps.116:15 Love always Bobble & Butch

Our Life began together over 40 years ago.  One Sunday in the Bay Area my Pastor told a Joke. It was hilarious and I was laughing out loud, which I do on most occasions when something is funny. I turned and this man (Charles) was just looking at me in amazement.  Throughout our marriage., he expressed how much he loved to hear me laugh which brought such joy to him.

Charles has been my brother-in-law for over 30 years. We had shared many fond and fun filled memories together, had many interesting conversations about life, family and our shared beliefs in God. Charles had a very unique outlook on life, and he expressed his appreciation in his artistry. I will miss the quiteness we shared sitting on his balcony enjoying a warm summer breeze, and when I think of him I will smile, R.I.P.  my friend.

My cousin Charles was a handsome and very kind person a talented artist. He did a portrait of me and I was shocked at how much it look like the original. Rest well Charles.  Love Rene'

I met Charles & Katy (momma to me) and felt completely welcomed instantly. Handshakes that ended as hugs and I felt like family. Getting know each other in a short amount of time and feeling like I had another set of parents. But what I remember most was Charles introducing himself as Carlos. Translating Charles to Spanish so I’d understand. Haha!! I loved his sense of humor immediately. God bless you momma and the family. Sending you my love.
