

Dr. Cheryl Bernadette Robinson, of Las Vegas, passed away at home on May 10, 2011. Born November 7, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Dr. Bernard Robinson, DDS and Vivian Irby Robinson of New Jersey, where she was baptized at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. She was the oldest of four children; the late Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Pam Robinson, DDS, Bernard Robinson Jr., and Malcolm Robinson. She attended St. Elizabeth Elementary School in Linden, N.J., graduating from Mother Seton High School in Clark N.J. where she excelled in basketball and horseback riding. There she developed a love for traveling, going to Europe and visiting the Vatican in her senior year. She received her undergraduate degree from Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland before returning to N.J. to earn her Medical degree at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Upon graduation and residency, she moved to Las Vegas to join her future husband Amin, where she enjoyed her role as step-mom and Grandma. Dr. Robinson was highly respected and loved by her peers in the medical community, she volunteered her time to various community and youth organizations including Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, and served on the board of directors of Girls Scouts of Frontier Council. Cheryl was an excellent athlete enjoying swimming, scuba diving and softball, while collecting art, dolls and baskets. Spending time with family and friends was always a priority. Her love of life was contagious. Preceded in death by Grandparents, Hubert and Violet Curtis of Mobile, Alabama. Leaving to cherish her loving and lasting memories, her devoted husband Amin Muhammad, brother-in-law Rahim Muhammad, Step-children Al-Amin Muhammad and Shaheen Dansby, Step-grandchildren Andre Dansby, Aja Muhammad, Amari Muhammad and Ahkira Dansby all of Las Vegas. Loving and devoted Aunts, Geraldine Irby of Mobile, Alabama and Dorothy Irby of New York, and Uncle Charles Harris of New York. Cousins; Jessica, Jennifer, Steven and Jennae, special friends Wilhelmina, Sherri, Teresa and numerous loved ones. She will be miss dearly. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 3:00PM with graveside burial to follow at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131.
