Christine Merluzzi

Christine Merluzzi, of Las Vegas, passed peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was born July 21, 1933, to Harold and Marie Brunk in Anderson, Indiana. Christine was a loving wife to her husband, Armond J. Merluzzi, who passed in 2016, and mother, grandmother, and great­grandmother. She was a 65-year resident of Las Vegas, where she owned and operated Merluzzi Dance Center from 1966 to 2016 and the Merluzzi Flyers Gymnastic Team from 1978 to 1991. Imparting her prolific knowledge of dance and gymnastics to thousands of students over the years was truly a passion for Christine. Christine is survived by her daughters, Linda Belew (Tony) and Marisa Sanderson (Doug); grandchildren, Casey Ziegert (Jaclyn), Janelle Castillo {Mackenzie), Coby Belew, and Zachary Sanderson; step-grandchildren, Dana Nichols (Dustin) and Rian Sanderson (Amy); great-grandchildren, Kaden Ziegert, Kaia Ziegert, Chloe Castillo, and Harper Castillo; and step-great-grandchildren, Drew, Drake, Reid, and Ellliot. In addition, Christine is survived by her nephew, Daniel Leo and niece, Valerie Shaw. She was preceded in death by her sister, Molly Jo Shaw. Service will be March 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
