Clara Manalastas Pecson, 91, passed away at home, on May 19, 2026. Born on August 12, 1934, in Pampanga, Philippines, Clara carried forward a life shaped by quiet strength, steady purpose, and a generous heart. She resided in Guam, California and eventually settled in North Las Vegas, Nevada, where her days continued to reflect the same thoughtful care and devotion that defined her life.
Clara’s life was rooted in faith—prayerful, steadfast, and guided by a devout trust that steadied her through every season. In the ways she showed up for others, she made her beliefs visible: with selfless attention, gentle encouragement, and a constant readiness to help. Her church community was an important part of her life, and her faith remained a source of comfort and direction.
She was the daughter of Aniceto and Maria Manalastas, and the 4th of 8 children. Clara built a life centered on family and love, and she shared that life with her husband, Frederico L Pecson. Together they raised three children: Froilan (Ellen), Cecil (Joseph), and Francis (Amy). Her family continued to grow with three grandchildren—Frederic Andrew (Angeli), Mark Anthony (Vyvyence), and Philip John—and two great-grandchildren, Andrea Marie and Micah Lorenzo.
Clara worked as a seamstress, bringing patience and precision to her craft—work that reflected her careful nature and the pride she took in doing things well. Whether through her hands at work or her hands at home, she gave of herself in ways that made life better for those around her.
At home, Clara’s love was often felt most clearly in the everyday comforts she created. She loved cooking and made sure everyone was well fed, turning meals into a simple, steady expression of care. She also found joy in gardening, knitting, crocheting—pursuits that mirrored her calm devotion and the warmth she offered so freely. Above all, she loved her family, and her life was marked by service—always helping others, always thinking of what someone might need.
A visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, on June 12, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The rosary will begin at 4:00 pm and vigil at 4:30 pm.
Clara will be remembered with gratitude and affection—for her devoted faith, her selfless love, and the thoughtful ways she cared for others. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the kindness she practiced, and the steady light she brought into the lives of those who knew her.
