

Cleone H. Johns, died at 83 in Las Vegas, NV on April 27, 2026. She had a long and varied career in Las Vegas, starting at the Sands Hotel in 1967 in Show Reservations. She retired as an analyst for the local telephone company after 25 years, worked in auto insurance claims and finally spent 3 years as a realtor.
Born in 1942 in Albany, NY, the first daughter of Cleone P. and L. Coulson Hageman, Cleone lived in Dalton, MA, moving with her parents and siblings to Lakewood, CO where she graduated high school. Cleone attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO, where she met and married Ronald M. Johns. They settled in Las Vegas, surrounded by his family and began raising their own family in 1963.
Cleone was active in many organizations over the years, including the League of Women Voters, Clark County Childcare Association, ITPA (Independent Telephone Pioneers) and was a Toastmaster for over two decades. More recently, along with her partner Vaughn Richards, she became a committee member for two projects for the Active Republican Women's Club, supported the Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild and the Clark County Museum Guild. She and Vaughn enjoyed membership in the Las Vegas British Auto Club. Cleone is predeceased by her parents, his sister Nancy S. Flibotte, her brother Douglas C. Hageman (Gail), of Southington, CT, former husband, Ronald M. Johns and her companion of many years, William M. Voorhis.
She is survived by her daughters Cristine Bullard (Jay) of Las Vegas, Susanna Petrovich, grandchildren, Katrina and Luke Petrovich of Huntington Beach, CA and son Mark (Cristy) of Las Vegas and her brothers and sisters in law : Alan & Loretta Johns, Larry and Mary Johns and Linda Lawton as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her loving partner, Vaughn Richards.
