

Clifford Arthur Worden of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the age of 86 at Centennial Hills Hospital. Clifford was born on March 3, 1936 in Liverpool, NY. He married Debra on January 11, 1975 in Orlando, FL. They moved to Las Vegas in 2013.
Clifford served our country in the US Army. He was stationed overseas in Vietnam, Korea and Germany, along with other bases in the United States. After leaving the service in 1974, he was employed by Walt Disney World in their security and investigations departments where he worked closely with the Orange County Sheriffs Department and DEA. When he left Disney, he started his own private investigation agency in Orlando. In 1984 the Wordens moved to Brownsville, TN where he was employed by the State of Tennessee as a criminal investigator for the Public Defenders office until he retired.
He received a commendation for serving as Mayor for the city of Lake Buena Vista, FL from 1975 to 1977. He was a proud Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary. He believed in the Rotary mission – to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
Clifford was a Life Member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) at John Lukac Post 12093. He loved our country and enjoyed helping other veterans.
He loved traveling, animals (especially his cats), nature, gambling, NFL football, his family and friends. He enjoyed watching old Westerns (especially John Wayne movies), playing cards and board games. He had a great sense of humor and encouraged others to live their best lives each day.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 29th at 2:00pm to share memories of his remarkable time on this earth. It was Cliff’s wish to be cremated and have his ashes scattered at various locations including Alaska and Florida.
