He was initially trained as a Bombardier Navigator and was on flying status for almost 12 years. He was certified in the B-47 and B-52 aircraft.
He was a veteran of the Cold War and Viet Nam war.
He served as an Air Attaché in the former Yugoslavia, for approximately 3 years.
Later in his career he served as a commander of several Air Force Security Forces units at locations with nuclear weapons responsibilities.
He concluded his career as the commander of the 96th Combat Support Group at Dyess AFB, Texas.
Ed lived in Los Prados for many years with his wife Carole. He was an avid golfer and considered it going to work each day he golfed.
Ed was predeceased by his wife Carole (Paciolla). He is survived by Greg Kane, sister in-law Joyce Paciolla, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
