Well, Aunt Corky, they say they are going to close the book. But they can never close our hearts, which is where all are fondest memories & love for a person stays. You are missed. Even tho' I didn't get to visit you very often just knowing you were in this world was a blessing. I shall see you again on the other side of the river. the heart remembers. Vikki

my dear Betty Nell, Billy, & Rita,
I was so very deeply saddened when told Aunt Corky had left us to be with the Lord. She was the core of your family & a wonderful aunt to all of us. So, I am at a loss for any words that would bring you comfort in these hard hours, except to say I love you, my heart is with you & my prayers. Of course, so many wonderful memories come rushing in. It was such great fun the summer our family came out to Vegas, I think I may have been 12. What an adventure for me, seeing the Strip, Lake Mead & the Hoover Dam, even trying to water ski behind Uncle Bruces boat!! But the greatest memory was our time we spent together. Never knew anyone that had their own Slot machine! So many joyous times come to mind when we were all together at Grandma & grandpa Castleberry's, laughing, eating, playing marbles with grandma, eating, playing domino's with grandpa, & eating some more. Your mom was always so much fun & always made me feel so special. The most beautiful lady, the epitamy of how a woman ages so gracefully. Her beauty followed her all through the years, & was seen from the inside out. She will be missed so greatly, but I am encouraged in knowing I will see her again one day. Have missed seeing you guys through the years & am so sorry I am not able to be with you now. God bless you all. the heart remembers, Vikki

How I loved Aunt Corky! She was beautiful; a terrific person and a great aunt with a quick smile and welcoming arms. She was fashionable, fun, witty, generous, caring and insightful with a heart full of love. To me, Aunt Corky was like a movie star, eye-stopping gorgeous and always classy.  When she spoke her mind, she'd end with a chuckle and you were glad she had added her thoughts.  I remember us both being at my mother's one summer day, helping make lunch. She and I were making the potato salad but mother was telling us how to do it.  I argued with mother about it then Aunt Corky leaned over and whispered to me, 'Ah, let's do it her way, then we know how to do it two ways, her way and our way.' We both laughed and all three of us had a good time together. And the salad tasted really good too. It was so characteristic of Aunt Corky to lighten a situation. I love you Aunt Corky and I miss you already. Earth is poorer without you but Heaven is surely richer since you've arrived. When my journey down here is complete, I want to meet you 'up there' and get one of your great hugs.

Aunt Corky was such a great lady, When I was 5 years old she would take care of me when my dad was looking for work when he moved to Calif. in 1942, and all these years she's always been helping the family. I'm just thankful that she was my Aunt.  I wish I could be there, I love you Paul Gordon   ,,

I love you ,Grandma....I will always remember the things you taught me,the unconditional love you always gave me,and the time we shared together.I will miss you,and the impact you had in my life.Love you always and forever.

Dear Michelle and Betty:  I loved hearing grandma Corky stories. It was obvious how close the three of you were.  You will feel her presence when the baby is born, and know she is smiling in heaven.
