Cynthia Lynn Delahuerta

Cynthia “Cindy” Delahuerta was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 7, 1960. A proud native, she loved the city she called home and took great pride in being a lifelong Las Vegan. The city she loved so dearly became the place where she devoted her life to caring for others.

For 25 years, Cindy worked as an echocardiography technician at University Medical Center, where her compassion, skill, and gentle spirit touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues. She formed lasting friendships throughout her career and earned the admiration of those fortunate enough to know and work beside her. She later continued caring for patients as an independent contractor for physicians throughout the Las Vegas Valley. In 2018, after a career defined by dedication and selfless service, Cindy retired to devote herself to the role she treasured most—being “Grandma".

To know Cindy was to know kindness. She possessed a rare gift for making everyone feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Her generosity knew no bounds, her unwavering work ethic inspired those around her, and her heart was always open to others. She lived with grace, loved without reservation, and found her greatest happiness in caring for the people she loved.

Above all else, Cindy was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her daughters and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved them with a fierce and unconditional love that will continue to guide them for years to come. The memories she created, the lessons she taught, and the love she shared are gifts her family will carry with them always.

Cindy is lovingly remembered by her devoted partner, Norma Herrera; her daughters, Jessica Barendt (Travis) and Jennifer Villa (Diego); her beloved grandchildren, Luke, Layla, and Ismael; her sister, Patty Fossum (Jim); her niece, Tiffany Carmona (Dom); and many cherished friends whose lives were forever brighter because of her friendship.

Though our hearts are heavy with the loss of someone so deeply loved, we find comfort in knowing that Cindy’s legacy lives on in every life she touched. Those who knew her were blessed by her compassion, her laughter, and the way she made everyone feel like family. As her family, we know we were blessed with the very best.

A Memorial Service will be held at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, US, on August 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Reception at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, US, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
